Klinsmann got the start tonight over Bond. It wasn't a benching of Bond for poor performance though. In fact, Bond has allowed just 2 goals in the last three matches and the Galaxy have gone 2-0-1. Instead, coach Vanney sought to give Bond a break since the Galaxy have 3 matches in 7 days. But Klinsmann performed extremely well so he could get more spot starts.
